Hillcrest has started a Scrabble Club. Please join! The club plays the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 at the Hillcrest Rec Center, 33rd and Camden St., SE.
If you have never played Scrabble before but like word games like crossword puzzles, you will like this game that helps build vocabulary and is an enjoyable leisure activity.

Improved Enforcement of DC Litter Laws
At-Large Councilmember Kwame Brown introduced Bill 16-666, Litter Control Administration Amendment Act of 2006 which would
provide the Metropolitan Police Department and the Department of Public Works with the authority to issue tickets to persons
violating the District's litter control laws. HCCA president Vincent Spaulding, and 1st VP Kathy Chamberlain testified in favor of the bill at
the public hearing before the DC City Council on June 28th, 2006. See Spaulding testimony.
