The Neighborhood Services Initiative (NSI) is a partnership between District agencies to improve the delivery of services to residents. These agencies work together to identify, prioritize, and solve recurring neighborhood problems. District agencies are also working to improve their own services by publishing and adhering to scheduled services.
Under NSI, the Neighborhood Services Coordinator (NSC) coordinates activities requiring action from multiple District Government agencies, and with the help of community residents works to help solve recurring neighborhood problems. The NSC also works closely with the Mayor's Office of Community Outreach and the Office of Planning.
