Hillcrest Neighborhood Cleanup

The relatively small turnout did not dampen the spirits of an energetic group of neighbors who joined forces for the Hillcrest Neighborhood Cleanup on November 11th. Mary and Phil Hammond organized the effort and obtained supplies from DPW's Helping Hands program. They were joined by Alyce Foster, Kathy Chamberlain, Vera Lewis, Robin Marlin, Ken Davis, Carolyn Ray, Stephanie Early Abbney, Wayne Young, and Rodney Newman (not a Hillcrest resident but always a willing volunteer). These neighbors gave their Saturday morning, plus a considerable amount of energy to improve Hillcrest's appearance by removing trash from public space.
