National Night Out at Naylor Gardens in southeast Washington featured clowns, magic tricks, door prizes, contests, face painting, baloons, children ID cards, the local fire truck (Engine 32, the "Beast of Southeast"), snow cones, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Hundreds attended from Naylore Gardens and Hillcrest. DC Police Chief Charles Ramsey stopped by to chat with residents and enjoy the evening.

National Night Out is designed to bring police and communities closer together in the fight against crime and to send a message to criminals that crime will not be tolerated in our neighborhoods.
