The National Park Service provided 6 dogwood trees (Cherokee Chief variety) for planting at the triangle park at Pennsylvania Ave and 38th St.  NPS staff, community volunteers, volunteers from other parts of the city and from the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive dug the holes and planted the trees on a chilly March morning.
