April 28, 2001 Work Session
On April 28, 2001, Friends of Twining Square planted 150 hostas, moved and replanted 50 liriope plants, and planted
about 120 perennials (salvia, coriopsis daisies, and chrysanthemums).
We also spread a truckload of mulch and a truckload of compost.
We were assisted by 7 energetic AmeriCorps volunteeers. Without them, we could not have accomplished what we did.
Thank you, AmeriCorps! And as always, thank you, National Park Service, for providing all the plants and materials, and
ongoing support for this project.
